Privacy policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

At monia, your wardrobe and your personal information matter. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how we use it, who we may share it with, and what rights you have. It applies to monia.style, the monia application, and related services (together, the "Services").

1. Who is responsible

The organization responsible for your personal information is Monia & Style inc. ("monia", "we", "us"), operator of the Services.

For privacy questions, email bonjour@monia.style. We will respond within a reasonable time.

2. What data we collect

Account and identity: email address, name if provided, login credentials, language and profile preferences.

Wardrobe content: clothing photos and descriptions, related metadata, looks, style preferences, measurements or body profile if you provide them, and other information you enter in monia.

Usage and device: technical and usage data (IP address, device or browser type, pages viewed, error logs, interactions) to operate, secure, and improve the Services.

Communications: messages you send us (support, waitlist, forms) and records related to those exchanges.

Payments: if you purchase a paid offer, payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card number; we may receive transaction confirmations (status, amount, identifier).

Cookies and similar technologies: we may use cookies or analytics tools (with your consent when required) to understand site usage and improve the experience.

3. Why we use your data

To provide and personalize the Services: account, digital wardrobe, look suggestions, AI features related to your content, and product experience.

To maintain security, prevent fraud, and keep the Services reliable.

To communicate with you: confirmations, support, important service updates, and — if you consented — marketing messages (you can unsubscribe).

To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

To analyze usage in aggregate or pseudonymized form to improve monia, without selling your identity to third-party advertisers.

4. Artificial intelligence and content

Some monia features rely on automated processing or AI models to analyze images, suggest looks, or enrich your wardrobe.

These processing activities are meant to deliver the service you request. We do not sell your wardrobe photos to third parties for advertising.

Technology subprocessors may process data on our behalf (hosting, authentication, email, analytics, AI processing), only under our instructions and with appropriate safeguards.

5. Sharing information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share data with: (a) service providers that help us operate monia (hosting, database, authentication, email, payments, analytics, AI tools); (b) authorities when required by law; (c) parties to a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition), subject to appropriate protections.

If monia offers sharing or resale features, what becomes visible depends on your choices and the settings you enable.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

When you delete your account or request erasure, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable time, unless we must retain it by law.

7. Your rights (Quebec and Canada)

Subject to applicable law (including Quebec Law 25 and PIPEDA), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

To exercise your rights, contact bonjour@monia.style. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding.

8. Security and transfers

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data (access controls, encryption in transit where applicable, sound hosting practices).

Providers may be located outside Quebec or Canada. In that case, we seek to frame transfers appropriately given the risks and applicable legal framework.

9. Children

The Services are intended for adults or, depending on context, a reasonable minimum age for a digital wardrobe product. If you believe a child provided us data without authorization, contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Services or the law. The date at the top of the page will be updated. For material changes, we may also notify you by email or through the Services.
